SpongeBob ends up in The Backrooms after being crushed by Patrick's big rock! This eerie and unfriendly maze of unending halls hides a certain somebody who isn't willing to let you leave that easily.

Your mission? Search the Backrooms for 3 Krabby Patties to unlock the possibility of escape once and for all!

Invite your friends to join you in this terrifying experience. Together, you’ll scream, laugh, and try to survive as you get chased by some very familiar entities.

Install instructions

Windows - Extract and run The Spongerooms.exe

Mac - I suggest using the itch.io app as otherwise there might be permission issues when trying to run the game.  Without the app,  you can still open the game by:

Opening the terminal on the parent folder of the spongerooms app

paste this ->         chmod -R 777 TheSpongeroomsMac1.1.app

It's harder so I suggest getting the app instead if you are on MacOS
